As I transition into this new chapter, I cannot overstate what a privilege and an honor it has been to serve on the County Board for fourteen years and to have led the board as the first Democratic Chair for the last eight years. I’m very proud of what we accomplished in Lake County Government and the Forest Preserves. The opportunity to work with incredibly talented professionals who have dedicated their careers to improving the quality of life for the people of Lake County has been the greatest gift, and I learned something new from them every single day.
In my new role as Lake County Treasurer, I remain accountable to you, and I pledge that I will continue to serve you with integrity, transparency, and diligence. I do not take your trust in me lightly, and I will work hard for you every day.
